PAAFR to activate agricultural cooperation deal with Sudan

KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) — The Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources (PAAFR) announced Thursday that there is an upcoming coordination with the government of Sudan to activate the cooperation agreement between the two countries in the agricultural field.
The agreement includes exchanging of experiences in agriculture and benefiting from the expertise in crops and livestock farming, Faisal Al-Hasawi, Deputy Director General of PAAFR, said in a press statement on the sidelines of his meeting with visiting Sudanese Minister of Human Development and Labor Osama Hassouna and his accompanying delegation.
There are also several significant deals that are to be activated in the next period, that will be effective and beneficial in training Kuwaiti cadres and keeping up with the latest developments in the food security field, Al-Hasawi added, noting that the world is currently heading towards food security projects.
He also said that coordination is currently underway to arrange a number of training courses on agriculture for Kuwaitis, and implement PAAFR’s working plan in the next years. (end) mf.jk.ma
