Outpatient Clinics will Resume Receiving 100% of Patients Soon

Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital (HMC) and the Director of the Qatar Center for Organ Transplantation at HMC, confirmed that regular work in the outpatient clinics is currently 80%, as the clinics receive all patients from all specialties face-to-face, pointing out that it is expected that the reception of patients will resume fully in the future in line with the plan to lift restrictions related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Al Maslamani said that, in line with the precautionary restrictions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, it will still be necessary for all outpatients to adhere to preventive restrictions, including wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, displaying the green status of EHTERAZ app, and undergoing temperature detection before entering the hospital.

He pointed out that during the past few months, work in outpatient clinics was limited to phone or video consultations, and at the same time, some emergency cases were received that required direct examination by the doctor, explaining that work in outpatient clinics currently includes receiving face-to-face patients across all specializations.
