OIC commemorates 25th Anniversary of Srebrenica massacre

Jeddah, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is commemorating the 25thanniversary of the Srebrenica massacre, which took place a quarter of a century ago in blatant violation of international law and universally acknowledged moral standards.


“This anniversary is for us a painful reminder. Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims of this tragic event.”,  OIC Secretary General Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen said,


Dr Al-Othaimeen cited Resolution 18/38-POL on the Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of the Council of Foreign Ministers’ 38thsession (Astana, 28-30 June 2011), and subsequent resolutions, adopted at various levels, which called on the Member States to observe 11 July as a (Day of Mourning) to honor the memory of those who were slain in the Srebrenica massacre.
