Obama to discuss N. Korea with S. Korean, Japanese leaders

WASHINGTON, March 28 (KUNA) — US President Barack Obama will host South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye and Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for a trilateral meeting on the margins of the Nuclear Security Summit on Thursday.
This meeting will be “an opportunity for the three leaders to discuss common responses to the threat posed by North Korea and to advance areas of trilateral security cooperation in the region and globally,” read a White House Press Secretary Office statement on Monday.
More than 50 nations will be attending the two-day March 31 summit, which focuses on non-proliferation and securing the world’s current stockpiles of nuclear weapons.
Among Arab nations present will be Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco. (end) sd.gb
