NUKS opens 25th conf. under auspices of His Highness the Crown Prince

KUWAIT, June 12 (KUNA) — The 25th conference for the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) kicked off on Sunday under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah represented His Highness the Crown Prince at the event.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Sheikh Salman said the government, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister remains committed to supporting the youth in all fields.
“The kind patronage of the event by His Highness the Crown Prince testifies to the State’s care for youth and keenness on democratic approach,” Sheikh Salman said, expressing pride for representing His Highness the Crown Prince.
He commended NUKS’s achievements over the last 50 years in networking among the Kuwaiti students and strengthening the relations with student unions worldwide.
The conference, being held at Al-Jumeirah hotel until June 14, is to celebrate the golden jubilee of NUKS. (end)
