New E-Learning Platform to be Launched in 2021-2022

Mr. Tarek Al Emadi, Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), revealed the launch of a new e-learning platform, which is an updated system that will be implemented during the 2021-2022 academic year, based on artificial intelligence and many advanced systems, to analyze the academic level of each student and analyze his/her behavior and activity in the classroom, which helps in discovering strengths and weaknesses and developing treatment plans early.

The system also allows the possibility of analyzing and evaluating teachers’ performance, and enables ease of communication between parents and the school, alerting parents about the attendance and absence of students, as well as the results of homework, assessments, and exams.

Al Emadi added that the administration is working on a number of projects, most notably the launch of a mobile application that provides 20 online services to MOEHE, in addition to developing and improving the public services portal, by reducing the number of documents required for student registration, equivalency of certificates, and scholarship application, by linking information with the Ministries of Interior and Health, and Kahramaa Corporation, so that transactions could be completed with the click of a button, without the need to attach identification papers, electricity bills, or employer’s document.
