The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) announced the opening of the nominations for Qatar Digital Business Awards (QDBA) 2021, which is held under the patronage of HE Mr. Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications.
The awards, now in its sixth edition, target all companies operating in the digital industry in Qatar and comes within the framework of MOTC’ keenness to honor and appreciate small, medium and emerging enterprises and companies that have contributed to the development of the digital sector during 2019-2021.
Those wishing to participate must complete their applications on the website http://www.qitba.qa no later than July 17, 2021, while the winners will be announced in August 2021. The winners will be chosen by a jury consisting of experts and specialists in the field.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Reem Mohammed Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Society Development Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Communications said: “The Ministry of Transport and Communications seeks to build a solid ecosystem for information and communication technology and recognize that the presence of local companies and local innovators is a vital element in the success of this sector. The Qatar Digital Business Award comes in the pursuit of this goal, as all award categories are linked to the Ministry’s strategic objectives. Chief among them is establishing a favorable digital system, promoting entrepreneurship, improving innovation in information and communication technology, and supporting the growth of this sector”.
