MOTC Launches its Official Mobile App

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) yesterday launched its application MOTC for cellphones and smart devices, aiming to help users access and execute the e-services they need easier and faster. The app also displays valuable information about the Ministry, as well as its events.

Also at the launch, MOTC revealed that 25 new e-services are now available in the field of maritime transport affairs, relating specifically to small and large vessels.

In this occasion, Noor Shahdad, Director of International Relations and Acting Director of Public Relations and Communications at MOTC, said; This comes in the context of MOTC’s ongoing endeavors to develop e-government system standards nationwide, as well as the objectives of the Qatar Digital Government 2020 Strategy, which aims to better serve individuals and business, through the provision of all government services over the Internet and ensure the ability of the user to complete these services online, and improve the efficiency of government administrative processes through the automation of different functions providing modern technological applications to government institutions, as well as achieving the Ministry’s vision to develop its services in a convenient manner and make it accessible from anywhere and at any time, in order to increase the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.

Ms. Mashal Ali Al Hamadi, Director of E-Government Programs and Standards Director and Acting MOTC’s Information Systems Dept., said that the application is now available on Apple and Android stores, will make it easier and faster to reach the Ministry’s information, events, news and services and purposed tenders published on the MOTC website. Also, deploying the best technologies and streamlining e-services were undertaken when designing and developing this mobile application in order to help users access and complete their e-services quickly and smoothly, she added.
