MOTC: 426.5 new accounts added to “Tawtheeq”

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) announced the addition of 426,537 new accounts to the National Authentication System “Tawtheeq” during the first quarter of this year, indicating that 17 Government entities participated in this system, which allows access to all electronic Government services with unified entry data.

The Ministry said, through a statistic revealed yesterday, the month of March was the most receptive to new accounts, with 178,640 new accounts joining, followed by the previous January, adding 125,016 accounts, and then last February, adding 122,881 accounts.

MOTC affirmed that the National Authentication System is in line with the objectives of the Qatar Digital Government strategy to improve the level of Government services for individuals and companies, and aims to manage and govern the digital identity of individual and corporate users of websites and electronic applications, in order to provide multiple ways that enable them to have unified access to all Government e-services smoothly, fast, and safe.
