Moldovan PM steps down

Baku: Moldovan Prime Minister Kirill Gaburich has announced his resignation during a briefing in Chișinău, RIA Novosti reported.

“I was called to the prosecutor general’s office yesterday over diplomas. It happened after I made a statement on the necessity of discharging some officials. I officially announce my own resignation,” he said.

Note that, Gaburich held different positions at Moldovan mobile communications company Moldcell during 2001-2008. On 1 November 2008, he was appointed director general of that company. From 2012 to December 2014, he has been the president of Azercell Telecom.
