Mohammed bin Rashid honours government outstanding employees (final add)

WAM Dubai, 22nd July 2013 (WAM) — The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today attended a ceremony to honour federal government outstanding employees in consistence with Employee Performance Management System 2012, developed by Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR).

Present were H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and a number of ministers and senior officials.

Sheikh Mohammed presented the certificates to 136 teachers who contributed to development of the educational process in the country.

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed posed for a photo with the 650 honoured employees out of 1, 000 employees who work with 18 federal institutions.

The Vice President congratulated the employees for contributing to boosting the productivity of the federal government, citing the teachers who stood at the podium to honour them in recognition of their fundamental role in educating future generations. “You are reaping what you have sown. You are being honoured in the Holy Month of Ramadan”.

He said the efficiency of government performance “is the fruit of efforts of dedicated employees who are pillars and foundation of the government”, urging all distinguished employees and others to further exert more efforts to become creative and work with team’s spirit.

On his part, Sheikh Mansour said the UAE leadership has been since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, focusing on the human resources development, being the core of sustainable development. He noted that the UAE led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates, is on the same course outlined by the late Sheikh Zayed.

Sheikh Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan, Sheikh Mansour and the honoured had the Ramadan iftar meal at Mina Hotel.

The Performance Management System is a process through which performance of employees are evaluated in comparison with the main objectives and indexes of the performance which is laid through partnership between the employee and his direct Supervisor. It comes as a harmony with the modern administrative concepts aimed to be applied by the Government and in execution of the Federal Decree Law No. 11 for the year 2008 regarding Human Resources in Federal Government.
