Mohammed bin Rashid holds talks with Egyptian Premier

DUBAI, 26 October 2013 (WAM) – Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has held negotiations with His Excellency Dr. Hazem Al Beblawi, Egyptian Prime Minister. His Highness discussed with his Egyptian counterpart ways to enhance bilateral historic relations between the two countries. The discussions were held at Zabeel Palace in presence of Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed and the Egyptian Prime Minister discussed the security, economic and social situation in Egypt and the latest developments taking place under the current political changes in Egypt. Sheikh Mohammed assured that the UAE leadership and government is supporting Egypt, the Egyptian people and the new political leadership. He asserted that supporting Egypt in this phase is service for the entire Arab World. Sheikh Mohammed recalled Sheikh Zayed’s position in the eighties when he insisted to return Egypt to the Arab Nation as he believed that Egypt is the heart of Arab World.

Dr. Hazem Al Beblawi thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the found support from the UAE to enable Egypt and its people to pass this phase and successfully restore the political, security and economic stability. Al Beblawi assured that the domestic situation in Egypt is back to normal and on the process for recovery and stability thanking the support of Egypt’s loyal friends and especially the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Mohammed held a lunch banquet for the visiting Egyptian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation. The banquet was attended by Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of International Cooperation and Development, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy, Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State, Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of Dubai Ruler’s Office, Mohammed bin Nakhirah Al Dhahiri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Head of UAE Delegation to Arab League, khalifa Saeed sulaiman, Director General Of Dubai’s Protocol Department, Dr. Nabeel Fahmi, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osama Saleh, Egyptian Minister of Investment, Dr. Hisham Ramiz, Governor of Egyptian Central Bank, and Ihab Hamoda, Egyptian Ambassador to UAE.
