The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) affirmed, in a recently issued circular, that resignations in schools are suspended until next February 2018.

The ministry pointed out in a statement that the submitted requests will be reviewed and answered within a month of submitting the resignation requests, noting that dislocation will be at the end of the current academic year 2017/2018.

MOEHE further clarified that in case of work disruption without an approval from the ministry on the resignation, the employee is considered to have abandoned his/her employment, and, accordingly, the human resources regulation shall apply and the employee’s services are ended.

Meanwhile, the ministry requested all school administrations to inform their employees and workers about the circular and make sure no employee shall be dislocated before the official approval of the ministry.
