MOEHE Announces a Competition for Gifted Students with Disabilities

Under the patronage of HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, and on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is marked on December 3 every year, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) represented by the Department of Special Education and Gifted Education announced the launch of its competition for gifted students with disabilities “E’akte Ser Mohebate which translate My Disability is the Secret of my Creativity, through its website.

The competition aims to ensure equal opportunities for students with disabilities to highlight their talents and creations, which is represented by the vision of MOEHE in continuous learning opportunities, innovative and at high quality, whilst at the same time achieving the potential of students with disabilities in their creativity within various fields, and adopting talents that can be developed in the future.

The competition also targets students with all disabilities (motor disability, hearing impairment, autism, intellectual disability, visual impairment) who have a talent in any field in all educational stages in schools, as well as educational and rehabilitation centers for students with disabilities.

The competition will be a platform for students with disabilities to demonstrate these skills, which builds their confidence in themselves and presents their literary and artistic products.

The competition covers four areas: (memorizing the Holy Quran), (Short Story Writing and Poetry), (Speech and Rhetoric), and (Artistic Creativity).
