Mr. Muhammad Hassan Al Malki, Acting Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, revealed that an application for the Hajj and Umrah will be launched soon.

On the sidelines of the launch of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs’ new website, Al Maliki said that the Hajj and Umrah application is completely electronic and will facilitate the registration process for Hajj and Umrah campaigns, as well as the follow-up process by the relevant department of the ministry, and he pointed out that citizens and residents can register through the electronic application.

Al Maliki noted that these steps are based on the directives of His Excellency Mr. Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem, Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, to give attention to to electronic systems and digital transformation in the country in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has launched its new website, which sets all the ministry’s services in one place and includes 41 services provided to the public. This comes as part of the Ministry’s orientation to introduce additional services to make it easier for the public to apply online which should save their effort and time and eliminate the paper transactions, in line with Qatar’s Vision 2030.
