The Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCS) announced the opening of the nomination for the sixth edition of the State merit and encouragement prizes in science, arts and literature, from next Tuesday, and until 31 August 2021. The State merit prize is awarded for Qatari scientists and creators every two years, in honor of their scientific response and creative and granted by His Highness the Amir or his representative. The prize valued at 500,000 Riyals, with a golden medal, innocence and appreciation and may not be divided or granted to one person more than once.
The prize granting committee noted that the areas offered for this year version are: Islamic studies, social, economic and political sciences, pure and practical sciences, poetry, story, novel and theater, literary, linguistic and linguistic and translation, music, music and other arts.
