Mali Suicide Attack Death Toll Rises to 77

Bamako, Death toll from the suicide vehicle attack against a military camp in the northern Malian city of Gao has climbed to 77, French army spokesperson Patrik Steiger said on Thursday.

“We regret to say that there are 77 deaths,” Steiger told reporters in Paris as he updated the number from an earlier toll of 60.

He added that the number might increase due to the seriousness of injuries.

Al-Qaeda linked group Al-Murabitoun claimed responsibility for the attack.
