Mada Center Signs MoU with Oman’s ITA

Mada Assistive Technology Center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and Oman’s Information Technology Authority (ITA), yesterday, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance co-operation on digital innovation solutions and expanding the options for persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The MoU, which comes within the framework of Mada Center Program for innovation in assistive technology in Arabic, promotes cooperation between the two sides through ” competitions, entrepreneurship supporting, and direct financing or localization of technological solutions”.

Maha Al Mansouri, Mada Center CEO, emphasized the Center’s great efforts to provide digital solutions for persons with disabilities and the elderly through the Mada Innovation Program and other programs that have made it the region’s center of excellence in supporting the development of assistive technology solutions in Arabic language.

Al Mansouri highlighted the importance of this Memorandum in enhancing cooperation with the Omani side in the field of innovation and supporting it to develop digital solutions and expand its options for persons with disabilities and the elderly.
