Tripoli, March 21 (QNA) – Libyan Foreign Minister Najla El Mangoush met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf, who is currently visiting Libya, where they discussed efforts to support holding elections.

The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the visit of the US official was part of the United States’ support for international and local efforts to hold elections and work on supporting them in all areas.

Speaker of Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh has met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affair, where the two sides stressed the need to create conditions on the ground to hold presidential and parliamentary elections in the country. (QNA)
