Lebanese Army detains 102 Syrians at borders

BEIRUT, June 10 (KUNA) — Lebanese Army troops detained 102 Syrians who were trying to illegally sneak into Lebanon on Friday.
The military said in a statement that three Lebanese were also apprehended while trafficking Syrians across Majdal Anjar on the Lebanese eastern borders with Syria.
The Lebanese-Syrian borders have witnessed recurrent infiltrations of such kind since 2015. The local authorities have nabbed a large number of Syrians crossing illegally and members of clandestine trafficking networks.
The army has enforced stringent precautions along the borders to stop such infiltrations as well as arms smuggling. (end) wsm.rk
