Launching Four Postage Stamps for Hosting Doha Capital of Islamic Culture

The Organizing Committee for hosting “Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021”, launched four Qatari postage stamps for a special edition on the occasion of hosting, and reflecting the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCS) in cooperation with strategic partners. The inauguration took place during a ceremony organized by the Cultural Village Foundation “Katara”, on the occasion of reopening of the Arab Post Stamps Museum.

HE Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports, stated that postage stamps are part of our apparent national identity, and reflect historical events, values, traditions, or cultural events that distinguish peoples from each other. They generally allow us to identify the cultural peculiarities of any country, and it provides an image of its richness. It contributes to the rapprochement between human beings, because it achieves part of the acquaintance between peoples for about two hundred years, and their exchange represents a sign of peace and love.
