Kuwait’s Marine, Aviation Activities “Normal” Despite Dusty Conditions

Kuwait, Marine and aviation activities are normal on Friday despite a wave of dust that has been surging in the country.

Director of operations at Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) Capitan Bader Al-Enezi told Kuwait news agency KUNA that marine navigation continues as normal since wind speed and horizontal visibility are still within safe navigation limits.

However, he pointed out that weather conditions will be monitored in case they worsen.

Traffic at Kuwait International Airport is as usual, Spokesperson of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Mansour Al-Hashimi told KUNA.

He said that current visibility is at 7,000 meters, noting minimum visibility for takeoff and landing is between 300 to 500 meters.
