Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation arrives in Comoros

CAIRO, March 18 (KUNA) — The delegation of the first Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship group arrived in Moroni, the capital city of the Union of the Comoros, on an official visit on Friday.
Head of the delegation MP Saud Nashmi Al-Hereiji said: “Moroni is the first leg of the delegation’s African trip that will take us to the Republic of Cameroon too.” “We are scheduled to hold talks with the Comorian parliament leaders on the parliamentary cooperation as well as other issues of common interest,” he told KUNA.
The visit is part of the National Assembly program for visit exchanges with the parliaments of friendly countries which aims to strengthen the bilateral ties in all fields, he added.
The delegation includes MPs Dr. Ahmad Mati’e Al-Azemi, Hamdan Salem Al-Azemi and Mohammad Marwi Al-Hadiya.
They were warmly received at Moroni airport by heads of the legal and financial affairs committees of the Comorian federal parliament and other MPs. (end) msh.gb
