Kuwaiti Min. praises Sharjah's IGCF 2016

SHARJAH, March 20 (KUNA) — Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah has lauded the 5th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2016), that opened in Sharjah.
The IGCF that opened on Sunday is sponsored and attended by UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi.
The forum has seen noticeable development since it was first held, with a multitude of rich programs and activities that offer added value to all participants, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah told KUNA and Kuwait TV on the sidelines of the event.
He stressed the regional and international momentousness of the IGCF as a profound source of further knowledge for those concerned about government communication.
It offers a chance for exchanging expertise and benefiting from leading experiences, he said.
According to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, a major topic of the IGCF 2016 is avoiding official media being oriented, as pointed out by Al-Qasimi in his statement at the opening of the event.
The minister voiced appreciation to Sharjah, wishing it further progress, development and prosperity.
Themed ‘Citizens for Prosperity’, IGCF 2016 focuses on the symbiotic relationship between governments and their people, and explores how government communication touches different aspects of people’s everyday life either directly or indirectly through its impact on vital socio-economic sectors.
