ABU DHABI, March 28 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti National Guard Chairman’s Diwan Chief General Jamal Al-Thiab affirmed Monday the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Kuwait and United Arab Emirates in varies fields, particularly in military cooperation.
Al-Thiab, who is heading a National Guard delegation on a visit to the UAE, told KUNA that the visit would facilitate exchange of military expertise amongst Gulf nations.
Moreover, General Al-Thiab met with Lt. General Isa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, who underscored long-standing ties amongst GCC countries.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the need for increased military and security cooperation, including military training courses, as well as military maneuvers which contribute to unifying the military doctrine in the (GCC) countries.
Al-Thiab also conveyed greetings of the political leadership to the United Arab Emirates’ counterpart, stressing Kuwait’s unwavering support for it.
He added that the visit has paved the way for more military agreements between both nations.
Kuwait’s National Guard delegation visited UAE’s Presidential Guard and was received by Presidential Guard’s Deputy Commander, Brigadier Mohammed Matar Al-Khaili, who briefed the delegation about tasks and duties of the presidential guard.(end) asa.haq
