KUWAITI MILITARY OFFICIAL EXTOLS TIES WITH QATAR

DOHA, Qatar, Mar 23 – A Kuwaiti National Guard official, lauded Kuwaiti and Qatari military ties, on Tuesday, saying that, both sides aim to further enhance those ties to stave off all threats to the region.

The National Guard Chairman’s Diwan Chief, General Jamal Al-Thiab, who is heading a National Guard delegation, on a visit to Qatar, told KUNA that the visit would facilitate exchange of military expertise between the two nations.

The region is faced with various threats, which calls for continued cooperation amongst Gulf nations, Al-Thiab said.

Furthermore, the delegation also met with Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani, who underscored the long-standing ties between the two countries, Al-Thiab noted.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the need for increased military and security cooperation in the region, he said, adding that, the visit has paved the way for more military agreements between both nations
