GAZA, March 13 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, on Sunday inaugurated a solar energy project to overcome the repeated power outages in the city, negatively affecting vital services offered to patients.
The opening ceremony was attended by a host of Palestinian officials, from the Ministry of Health and Rafah Municipality, as well as lending institutions and city dignitaries and doctors.
The project has been opened amid suffering from power outages and rising consumption of fuel and electricity generators and bills, as a result of connecting the facility to an alternative line since last August, hospital director Abdulrahman Al-Dahoodi told a press conference. (end) wab.mb
