Kuwaiti diplomat commends holding Arab cultural event in Budapest

BUDAPEST, March 11 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s ambassador to Hungary Dr. Hamad Burahma touted on Friday the occasion of holding the “Arab Cultural Days” in Budapest which helped to inform the Hungarians about Arab history, art, music, and culture.
In a statement to KUNA, on the last day of the event today, sponsored by Arab Ambassadors Council, Dr. Burahma said 13 Arab countries took part in it, including Kuwait, noting that Kuwaiti-Hungarian relations have prospered much in the past fifty years.
He appreciated the visit of the Hungarian parliament speaker to the Kuwaiti display area at the event.
The activities shown at the Arab Cultural Days in Budapest consisted, among other things, of arts and crafts, folk music and dance, paintings and sculpture, pottery making, traditional jewelry, and calligraphy.
There were also forums and symposiums and lectures in which both Arab and Hungarians discussed topics on Arab history and culture. (end) amq.ajs
