Kuwait Oil Company Declares a State of Emergency over Oil Leakage

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) on Monday declared a state of emergency as an oil leakage occurred in a location west of Kuwait.

In a statement reported by Kuwait News Agency, Deputy CEO for Administrative Affairs and official spokesman of the KOC Qusai Al Amer said no injuries have occurred as a result of the leak and production has not been affected. No poisonous gas leakage was detected at the site of the incident, he affirmed.

KOC teams are currently handling the situation, taking the necessary procedure to contain the situation, added Al Amer.
