Kuwait, Hungary sign 2 economic cooperation agreements

KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) — Kuwait and Hungary have signed two agreements for boosting cooperation in air services and trade representation, the Ministry of Finance said here on Thursday.
The agreements were signed between Kuwait Life Sciences Company (KLSC) and a leading Hungarian firm, during the two-day second meeting of the Kuwaiti-Hungarian committee on economic, trade and technical cooperation.
The statement added that the second meeting, January 27-28, was part of the efforts for boosting bilateral economic ties.
The first meeting was held in Budapest on May 7-8, 2013.
During this second meeting, the two sides reviewed a host of issues, mostly on enhancing economic, trade, investment, oil, cultural and health cooperation.
Other topics included the private sector, higher education and civil aviation.
They also addressed means of abolishing obstacles hindering bilateral cooperation, besides a host of agreements and MoUs.
The Kuwaiti side in the meeting was led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Khalifa Hamada, while the Hungarians were chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Laslo Sabo.
Kuwait’s ambassador to Hungary Muhammad Burhamah and the Hungarian envoy to Kuwait Mihai Bayer attended the meeting. (end) fnk.jk.msa.
