Kuwait eager for cooperation with Mexico on security issues

KUWAIT, March 18 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior is keen on boosting cooperation with Mexico in security matters due to Mexico’s use of technology in that field, said a Kuwaiti official on Friday.
Kuwait’s Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Fahad, currently on a visit to Mexico, made that statement during his visit to a number of security centers, after having met with Mexican security officials and in the company of Sameeh Hayat, Kuwait’s ambassador to Mexico, said a statement received by KUNA.
Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Fahad was shown by his Mexican hosts several neighborhoods, roadways, and public places where he was made aware of how authorities dealt with criminal activity there, said the statement.
Among specific locations he was taken to were an emergency control center, a police training center for dealing with natural disasters, a paramedic center, a roadway emergency center dealing with traffic victims, and an information analysis and archives center, among other ones.
