KSrelief Distributes 107 Tons of Food Baskets to People Affected by Floods in Bangladesh

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday an urgent aid to people affected by the floods in Satkhira District, Bangladesh.

The aid included 107 tons of food baskets, after the Cyclonic Storm Fani over the Bay of Bengal caused rising water levels on vast areas.

Despite the difficult weather conditions and floods, the KSrelief’s team was able to reach the affected sites and provide food assistance to 5,000 people from the host communities, making the center as the first relief agency to reach these areas in coordination with the local government authorities in Bangladesh.

For their part, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom, represented by the KSrelief, for this noble gesture and timely humanitarian aid.

It is worth mentioning that the KSrelief, in collaboration with the Muslim World League (MWL), is currently implementing a project to provide 80,000 food baskets to the forcibly displaced people from Myanmar and host communities in Bangladesh.
