King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Charity (QC), aimed to offering donations to support the underprivileged and refugee patients in the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). This agreement, which was signed by KHCF Director General, Nisreen Qatamesh, and Advisor to CEO and General Supervisor of QC Jordan Office, Saleh Marri, is an extension of the joint strategic partnership launched since 2017. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Qatamesh valued QC’s donation, which comes as a continuation of the charity’s longstanding efforts over years, adding that sustainable partnership helped support 168 cancer patients, who can’t afford to pay costs of their treatment. This initiative, she noted, is part of the “strong” Jordan-Qatar cooperation relations, noting Doha never hesitated to provide assistance to save lives of cancer patients and give them a “true” chance for recovery. Meanwhile, Marri said the agreement aims to developing joint cooperation relations in supporting cancer patients and enabling them to complete their treatment, in appropriate psychological conditions to face the disease burdens. Marri added that QC assistance also seeks to offer treatment for patients, who do not have health insurance and suffer financial hardships.
