Israel denies worshippers from Gaza access to Al-Aqsa Mosque

GAZA, March 16 (KUNA) — The Israeli occupation authorities withheld on Wednesday the licenses for the Palestinians from Gaza Strip who are willing to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque – the Muslims’ third holiest site, in the coming two days.
The Israeli side has cancelled all trips for worshippers from Gaza slated for Thursday and Friday, under the pretext of Palestinians’ non-compliance with the agreed arrangements, said Mohammad Al-Moqadema, the spokesman of the Palestinian civil affairs authority.
Under the arrangements reached in August, 2014, nearly 200 Gazan people, above the age of 60, can visit the holy site in the West Bank a week and must go back home in the same day. (end)
