KHARTOUM, June 4 (KUNA) — The Kuwait-based Islamic Heritage Revival Society in cooperation with (Ansar Al-Sunnah Al-Mohamadia) charity in Sudan, distributed on Saturday financial aid to 6,000 orphans and honored reciters of the Holy Quran.
Omar Al-Bilal, the president of the charity, thanked, in a speech at the ceremony, the Kuwaiti Islamic Heritage Revival Society, its president, Tareq Al-Essa, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, government and people and Kuwaiti charities for their generosity, also praising Kuwait’s Ambassador in Khartoum Talal Al-Hajri for his efforts and cooperation in charitable activities.
For his part, the Secretary of charitable projects in the group, Tayeb Ahmad Al-Tayeb said the ceremony aims to honor more than 1,215 orphans who have completed memorizing part of the holy Quran and honoring 320 orphans for their excellent performance, and distribution of financial aid to 6,390 orphans.
