IAEA's Governors Board holds meeting in Vienna

VIENNA, June 6 (KUNA) — The International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) Governors Board began its four-day meeting Monday, discussing a wide range of issues including developments on the nuclear files of both North Korea and Iran, radiation protection, and other topics.
IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano will brief the meeting on the agency’s annual report which focuses on the agency’s future challenges.
The IAEA’S Board of Governors meeting is held five times a year to discuss major reports as well as the program and the budget of the agency.
The meeting also gives recommendations on important aspects of the agency’s work to the General Conference. (end) amg.gta
