HUKOOMI PORTAL WINS THE INFORMATICS AWARD OF HH SHEIKH SALEM AL-ALI AL SABAH

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) said in a statement that the award announced the victory of nine technology projects in the Gulf, noting that the winners of the Informatics Award will be honored at the annual ceremony to be held in Kuwait on 29 November.

In this occasion, Mr. Hassan Jassim Al-Sayed, the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary of Government Information Technology Sector, said: It is our pleasure to have won this prize, which reflects the great efforts excreted by the Ministry to continuously update and enhance Hukoomi portal and to cover the latest technological developments witnessed by other portals worldwide. I am hopeful for more achievements that contribute in raising the status of Qatar at various levels.

He added that this prize reflects the rich content of Hukoomi portal, which now includes over 1380 services including 690 e-services that enable businesses, citizens, residents and visitors to complete their transactions online for various services related to health, education, business and others.

The current version of Hukoomi also offers a unique user experience by enhancing the search feature functionalities, enabling Persons with Disabilities to use the portal, offering a service page for Migrant Workers that supports five languages, and providing highly-advanced mobile browsing features that offer a unique experience for mobile users.
