KUWAIT, June 28 (KUNA) — His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has drawn up a “road map for the National Assembly and set guidelines for the people of Kuwait,” said National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Tuesday.
His Highness the Amir has called for adhering to the national unity and taking lessons from the raging regional events, said the parliament speaker, reacting to the Amir’s address to the people of Kuwait on Tuesday, marking the blessed last ten days of the holy month Ramadan.
The parliament speaker affirmed that the legislators would abide by the national approach, boosted with the Amir’s stances.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad’s recent re-inauguration of Al-Sadiq Mosque and his recall of the martyrs who had fallen in the crime that had been perpetrated at the mosque reflected His Highness’ sensing of his sons’ pain, he said, also noting the humanitarian aspect of Sheikh Sabah’s personality.
He pledged to implement the guidelines declared by His Highness and turn them into legislations and laws for sake of security, stability and prosperity for the Kuwaiti people.
The parliament speaker lauded His Highness’ keenness on adopting the youth causes, noting that the parliamentarians have abided by this approach through enacting laws that serve this segment of the society.
He underscored Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad’s admiration of the Kuwaiti media and his call on the organizations and outlets to play a constructive role at the national level.
Moreover, Al-Ghanim praised Sheikh Sabah’s recollection of the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad and the Father Amir Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah.
He expressed gratitude for the support given to the assembly by Their Highnesses the Amir and the Crown Prince, congratulating both on advent of the last ten days of Ramadan. (end) sss.rk
