KUWAIT, March 7 (KUNA) — His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to Tunisian President Mohamed Beji Caid Essebsi on Monday after multiple attacks on Tunisian army and police targets left scores of casualties in the city of Ben Guerdane, near the borders with Libya.
His Highness the Amir voiced sincere sympathy with the President Essebsi and the government and people of sisterly Tunisia, as well as the victims and their families.
He prayed to Almighty God for mercy on the souls of martyrs and quick recovery for those wounded in the attacks.
He expressed Kuwait’s strong denunciation of all forms of terrorism or attacks on innocent lives, saying that such despicable acts of violence aimed to destabilize sisterly Tunisia.
The State of Kuwait stands by Tunisia at these hard times and backs up the efforts of the international community to eradicate terrorism and dry up the sources of financing for terrorism, His Highness the Amir wrote.
