His Highness Amir's ascension to power precious occasion for all Kuwaitis – Min.

By Mubarak Al-Enezi KUWAIT, Jan 29 (KUNA) — Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Sabah, said Friday that the 10th anniversary of His Highness the Amir’s ascension to power “is a precious occasion for all Kuwaitis.
“We are celebrating this occasion today through a cooperation between the state and private sector, including ministries and institutions, by organizing a national march and a number of events that express the joy of marking this precious occasion for all Kuwaitis,” Sheikh Salman stated to KUNA on the sidelines of the Hala February 2016 festival.
Sheikh Salman, who is also the Chairman of the permanent committee for organization national celebrations, also stressed the importance of holding national festivals in the country such as Hala February, which boosts tourism in Kuwait and has a significant role in organizing a number of other events.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow protection upon His Highness the Amir and extends the grace of health and wellness on him to keep him a great asset and support for Kuwait, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to all of those who contributed in making this important popular festival a success through their sponsorship and support.
Sheikh Salman also wished further development and prosperity for Kuwait and GCC countries, and the Kuwaiti people under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Electricity and Water Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah extended his congratulations to His Highness the Amir on the 10th anniversary of his ascension to power, the 55th National Day, and the 25th Liberation Day.
“It has been an annual tradition for us to celebrate the National and Liberation Days. However, this year has been exceptional due to the 10th anniversary of the ascension of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince to power,” Sheikh Mohammad Al-Mubarak stated to KUNA.
He expressed his gratitude to the organizers of Hala February festival, calling all citizens and residents to attend, participate, and enjoy these festivities and events that will continue all throughout the month of February.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Kuwait, stressed to KUNA the importance of celebrating such national events, particularly since this year’s celebration has been distinctive with marking the 10th anniversary of His Highness the Amir’s ascension to power, extending his most congratulations to His Highness the Amir on the occasion.
He also indicated that Ooredoo Kuwait is an official partner in the 17th Hala February festival, wishing for everlasting security, safety, and prosperity on all Gulf countries.
The UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Rahma Al-Zaabi told KUNA that His Highness the Amir’s 10th reign has been filled with significant achievements, including naming him a “Humanitarian Leader” by the United Nations, extending his congratulations to the government and people of Kuwait and wished further development and prosperity for the country.
