HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani was awarded the National Order of Merit of the Republic of Chad by HE President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad Lt. Gen. Mahamat Idriss DebyItno, in appreciation of His Highness’ role and the efforts of the State of Qatar in making the Chadian Peace Negotiations a success and the signing of the Doha Peace Agreement in Chad, which is viewed as an important step in achieving the sovereign inclusive national dialogue in Chad for establishing a new phase of security, peace and stability.
On behalf of HH the Amir, the Order of Merit was received by Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Chad Abdul Sattar Saleh Al-Ansari when he was received by the President of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad.
