Germany praises role of Saudi Arabia in Geneva talks

BERLIN, Jan 30 (KUNA) — German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Saturday praised Saudi Arabia and its role in the Geneva talks, which aimed to put an end to the war in Syria.
آ آ آ Steinmeier said in a statement that Saudi Arabia played a role worthy of praise to persuade the Syrian opposition to participate in the Geneva talks, which is a signal to encourage a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis.
He pointed out that millions of Syrians are waiting for years to reach an agreement to stop the bloodshed and hostilities in Syria.
