GCC cmte. looks into ways to develop Consultative Authority's work

MUSCAT, March 29 (KUNA) — A committee tasked with looking into ways to develop work and mechanisms of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) Consultative Authority held its second meeting in Muscat.
The authority said in a statement Tuesday that it discussed the results of the first meeting of its 19th session, besides its vision aimed to further develop the authority.
Such meetings come to reflect the GCC leaders’ keenness in achieving comprehensive development and boosting ties among Gulf countries, as well as protecting the security and stability of the region.
The GCC Consultative Authority was founded upon a decision issued by the GCC Supreme Council at its 18the session held in Kuwait in December 1997. (end) ahr.lb
