French police breaking terrorist network – Hollande

PARIS, March 25 (KUNA) — French President Francois Hollande said Friday the security services are in the process of dismantling the Jihadist cell which was behind the recent attacks in Paris and Brussels.
This terrorist network will be eliminated soon but the security threat remains high since other cells could remain, he said in a press release by his office.
“Following the attacks in Brussels and Paris, there have been a number of arrests and we know that there are other networks.
“Even after destroying the network that perpetrated the attacks in Paris and Brussels, there remains a high threat to the security of France and Europe at large,” Hollande said.
Last night the French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve announced that the security services managed to abort a major terrorist operation at its advanced stages in the Argenteuil neighborhood, nearly 15 km. to the north of Paris. (end)
