France shows solidarity with Tunisia

TUNIS, March 17 (KUNA) — French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Jean-Marc Ayrault expressed his country’s solidarity with Tunisia at the current delicate stage.
France will support Tunisia’s demands during the coming session of the EU-Tunisia Association Council, due in Luxemburg in April, Ayrault said during his meeting with Khemaies Jhinaoui.
The talks between the two sides focused on the bilateral ties and friendship as well as the topics on the agenda of the first session of the high-level Tunisian-French Political Dialogue, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
The French minister has started earlier Thursday a two-day visit to Tunisia where he will hold talks with President Bأ©ji Caid Essebsi, Prime Minister Habib Essid, and Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives Mohamed Ennaceur. He will also inaugurate at his visit to Tunisia the new French Institute of Tunis, “place of meeting and cultural exchanges” between Tunisia and France. (end)
