Foreign Minister meets Russian Minister of Culture

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation and Head of the Russian side of the Joint Governmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, on the occasion of the Minister’s participation in Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

During the meeting, the Minister expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s great pride and appreciation for the distinguished relations and cooperation that link Bahrain and Russia, and their continuous development at all cultural, economic, commercial, scientific and technical levels. He stressed the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve common interests, praising the efforts of the Bahraini-Russian Joint Committee and its active role in promoting and consolidating friendship and cooperation relations between both countries and peoples.

For her part, Olga Lyubimova, welcomed the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Saint Petersburg Economic Forum, praising the meetings held by the Minister on this occasion with senior officials of the Russian government, which would contribute to strengthening joint cooperation. She stressed her country’s keenness to enhance various aspects of cooperation with the Kingdom and push it to broader levels to meet common aspirations and bring more benefit to the two friendly peoples. She wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Moscow, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, the CEO of the Economic Development Board, Khalid Ebrahim Humaidan, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Iman Ahmed Al Dossari, the Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Talal Abdul Salam Al Ansari, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
