Doha, March 02 (QNA) – Qatar Stock Exchange’s general index rose 1.43 percent this week, closing at 10621 points level.

Financial analyst Youssef Bouhlaiqa commented on this week’s performance, and attributed the rise to foreign portfolios entering the market. He told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the past few weeks has seen renewed interest in the Qatari stock market from foreign investors, particularly following the announcement that Qatar achieved a surplus of QR 89 billion in 2022. He said he expects the upcoming period to see even more gains, highlighting that the returns of the listed companies grew 11 percent, higher than expected. (QNA)
