FIBA U-16 Asian Championship 2023: Qatar Through to Quarter-Finals

Hosts Qatar defeated India 87-84 on Thursday to advance for the quarter-finals of the FIBA U-16 Asian Championship 2023.

The event that runs through Sep. 24 also serves as a qualification berth for the 2024 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup in Turkey.

Qatar finished third in their group after leaders Japan and second Iran.

Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Association, Saadoun Al Kuwari praised the achievement, indicating that the Qatari team would play tough games in the quarter-finals.
