Explosions kill 11 people in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, June 9 (KUNA) — At least 11 people were killed in two car explosions which occurred in the Iraqi capital, said police sources Thursday.
The first car exploded near A-Baydhaa cinema, killing six people and injuring nine others, while the second bomb went off at a security checkpoint in Al-Taji town, killing five people and injuring nine others, the sources told KUNA.
The terrorist acts caused damages to nearby properties, said the sources. (end) ahh.mar
