Executive officer of Mezem village; “Armenian media’s reports on the alleged white flag raised by the residents are unfounded”

Baku: Armenian media’s reports about the alleged white flag raised by the residents living in Mezem of Gazakh region near the frontline are absolutely unfounded, executive officer of Mazam village Elman Nasibov told APA while commenting on the reports of news.am about the alleged white flag raised by the residents of Mazam village living near the frontline.

Nasibov said that though the village is under fire of Armenians, the villagers have not left the village. “Perhaps Armenians see the trash bags and paper blown by the wind and hanged on the trees and bushes in the territory as a white flag. How can it be possible that the Mazam village residents, who haven’t left their homes for more than 20 years, now raise a white flag? These are false reports. Armenians will not achieve their desires.

The Executive officer of the village said that the Azerbaijani Army consistently respond to all Armenian sabotage attempts. He also added that the opposite side is always in fear and the residents of the Armenian villages on the border leave their homes near the frontline.
